Elizabeth Ware

Occupational Therapist &
Disability Advocate

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth’s journey to becoming an occupational therapist was shaped by her experiences as an AuDHDer. Facing barriers and misconceptions, she developed a deep understanding of the challenges neurodivergent individuals face, which ignited her passion for advocacy. Elizabeth is committed to shifting perceptions of neurodivergence, promoting a world where neurodivergent individuals are valued for their strengths.

Elizabeth specialises in therapeutic support for children, adolescents, and young adults, using a strengths-based, neuroaffirming approach. Her interests include interest-led learning, gaming as a therapeutic tool, empowering self-advocacy, and supporting school advocacy for neurodivergent students.

As a passionate advocate, Elizabeth is dedicated to transforming higher education, driven by her own experiences with adversity and a lack of support during her studies.
